DeafDigest Mid-Week edition - February 22, 2019 -- deaf chef in a new documentary film Darren Weiss, a deaf chef with the Chelsea's in Hermosa Beach, CA, will be featured in a new documentary film. This is a great honor. Just a warning; do not confuse him with another deaf chef with the same last name, Jonathan Weiss, that lives in the same Southern California area. They are not related to each other, but know each other professionally.     -- attorneys encouraging deaf to help them A group of attorneys have been very much aware that many deaf clients have language issues, and are now getting advice from them. Why not CDI? Well, these attorneys are in Ireland.   -- duty of deaf person with NASA Johanna Lucht, who is deaf, has an important job with the NASA Armstrong Flight Research Center in Los Angeles. She watches the data on the computer and shares the results with the staff. She is probably the first deaf NASA engineer to work at a flight control center.
