-- deaf chef in a new documentary film
Darren Weiss, a deaf chef with the Chelsea's in
Hermosa Beach, CA, will be featured in a
new documentary film. This is a great honor.
Just a warning; do not confuse him with
another deaf chef with the same last name,
Jonathan Weiss, that lives in the same
Southern California area. They are not
related to each other, but know each
other professionally.
-- attorneys encouraging deaf to help them
A group of attorneys have been very much aware
that many deaf clients have language issues,
and are now getting advice from them.
Why not CDI? Well, these attorneys are
in Ireland.
-- duty of deaf person with NASA
Johanna Lucht, who is deaf, has an important
job with the NASA Armstrong Flight Research Center
in Los Angeles. She watches the data on the
computer and shares the results with the staff.
She is probably the first deaf NASA engineer
to work at a flight control center. The NASA
has had other deaf engineers but never in
the flight control center.
