When Mojo Mathers, a signing New Zealander won a seat in her nation's parliament in 2011, her fellow legislators REFUSED to give her interpreters. She had to fight tooth and nail to get the interpreters. Now - in Japan, Yanetani Atsuko, who uses sign language, was quickly given interpreters when she recently won a seat in Japanese assembly.
