DeafDigest Mid-Week edition, September 22, 2015 morning   -- a very bad spoof on deaf on a TV program Holly Willoughby is a British TV personality. As a joke she recently "intervied" a puppet. This puppet was operated by a ventriloquist - and the puppet was "deaf" with bad speech and bad hearing problems. Everyone laughed. But was it an insult to the deaf? Yes!   -- captions, better on TV or Netflix You watch a movie on TV; you also watch a movie on Netflix. Which captions are better? With TV movies, there is always the risk of garbled captions, especially on re-runs! With Netflix, the bottom bar often blocks the captions so need to move the mouse around to force full captions.
