DeafDigest Mid-Week edition, August 23, 2016   -- a deaf first in Japan Kawakami Kei, a deaf Japanese woman, has achieved a first in Japan. She has become the first Deaf Certified Interpreter (CDI) in her nation! Coming from a deaf family Japanese Sign Language is her primary language. She went to Gallaudet and earned a degree in Deaf Studies and Interpreting. She then obtained her CDI certificate from RID. Apparently there are people in Stockton that hate the deaf because they sprayed anti-deaf comments on the sidewalk in front of his house. The police is investigating.   -- perfect deaf speech not worth it A deaf man has speech that is so perfect that all hearing people understand him. Is it worth it to have perfet speech? A deaf man in Great Britain was not able to get disability income.
