DEFINITION: The Family Partner works in the community support Wraparound
program, a specialized agency within the statewide Child Behavioral
Health Initiative. She/he is responsible for support and advocacy to
parents/caregivers, providing some direct services and helping
families identify strengths, needs and access to community resources.
• English speaking skills required. Additional Spanish speaking
skills preferred.
• Fluency in American Sign Language.
• Experience as a primary caregiver of a youth with emotional or
behavioral health needs.
• ASL skills and bicultural competency are required. The Family
Partner must be able to work collaboratively with a team and
possess effective interpersonal and communication skills.
• Time flexibility and some availability during evening/weekend
hours are required.
• A valid drivers license and a clean driving record as determined
by Human Resources is required.
SUPERVISOR: Wraparound Program Director
Works with families to identify a team to help family achieve goals.
Helps family identify strengths and needs.
Provides support services to family members such as accessing community support services.
Works with Wraparound team to develop a treatment plan with the family.
Responsible for maintaining paper work required by program.
Liaison with other providers as needed.
Provides formal and informal communication instruction/facilitation as needed.
Assists in the development of effective parenting skills as needed.
Utilizes a strength-based, family-centered approach to assist child and family in the development of
self-advocacy skills.
